Warrior Coloring Pages
In World of Warcraft, warriors are the ones who run straight at the trouble. They wear heavy plate armour and swing swords, axes and hammers, and their fighting energy is actually called rage, which builds up the longer a battle goes on. Orcs, humans, dwarves and many other races all have warriors, so there’s a lot of different faces under those helmets.
World of Warcraft Warriors
Physical Description: Warriors dress for the job they're doing. A protection warrior, also called the tank, wears huge plate armour and carries a shield so the enemy hits them instead of their friends. A fury warrior swings a big weapon in each hand, and an arms warrior uses one giant two-handed sword or axe. Whatever the style, they're broad, strong and muscled from years of training.
History: Warriors have been on the front line of almost every big fight in Azeroth, from the wars against the Burning Legion to the long quarrel between the Alliance and the Horde. The Alliance has the sturdy warriors of Stormwind and Ironforge. The Horde has orcs and trolls, who each fight in their own way. Two of the most famous are the orc chieftain Grommash Hellscream and Varian Wrynn, the human king of Stormwind.
In battle each type has a job. Protection warriors soak up the hits, while fury and arms warriors do the damaging. Fury warriors get faster and angrier as a fight goes on, and arms warriors take their time and aim their big swings carefully. Warriors don't use magic, so everything they win comes down to muscle and nerve.
Numerous stalwart warriors in the World of Warcraft lore have left an indelible mark on the game's narrative. Here are descriptions of some of the most notable ones:
- Varian Wrynn: As the High King of the Alliance, Varian Wrynn was a formidable human warrior. His journey from a gladiator slave to a respected leader showcases the strength, determination, and leadership qualities inherent in a skilled warrior. Varian's presence in key events, including the battle against the Lich King, added depth to the Alliance's narrative.
- Grommash Hellscream: Renowned for his courage and fierce combat skills, Grommash Hellscream was a prominent orcish chieftain and warrior. His pivotal role in both the First and Second Wars, and his redemption in sacrificing himself to destroy Mannoroth, solidified Grommash as a symbol of orcish valor.
- Garrosh Hellscream: Son of Grommash Hellscream, Garrosh rose to become Warchief of the Horde. His rule was marked by both strength and controversy, leading to internal conflicts within the Horde. Garrosh played a central role in the events of the Mists of Pandaria expansion, where he faced trial for his actions as Warchief.
- Broxigar the Red: A legendary orc warrior, Broxigar the Red played a crucial role in the War of the Ancients. Armed with the enchanted axe, the "Axe of Cenarius," Broxigar demonstrated unmatched bravery by single-handedly engaging the demonic forces of the Burning Legion, earning him a place in orcish and Warcraft history.
- Saurfang the Elder (Broxigar's Brother): Broxigar's brother, Saurfang the Elder, is a veteran orc warrior known for his commitment to honor and duty. Saurfang has played significant roles in various conflicts, including the defense of Orgrimmar. His strong sense of honor and sacrifice has made him a respected figure among the Horde.
- Shandris Feathermoon: As the general of the Sentinel Army, Shandris Feathermoon is an exceptional night elf warrior. Her combat skills and leadership were instrumental in defending Kalimdor during the events of the Third War.
