World of Warcraft rogues

rogue

Physical Description: Rogues dress to stay hidden. They wear dark leather armour that doesn't clank or squeak, and they carry daggers, poisons and other handy tricks tucked out of sight. They're light on their feet, quick and good at slipping through crowded cities or into a fight from the shadows.

History: In the early days of Azeroth, rogues worked as scouts, spies and assassins. They learned things leaders needed to know and dealt with threats quietly. As wars grew bigger they became very useful on the battlefield, slipping past enemy lines and disabling traps. Many sharpened their skills in the back alleys of Stormwind and Orgrimmar, and some formed guilds and secret societies to share what they knew.

Each faction ended up with its own group of rogues. The Alliance has SI:7 and the Horde has the Shattered Hand, and both take on secret missions for their leaders. When there's no war on, some rogues take jobs on the shady side of town. They're good at spotting a chance, so they never stay in the spotlight for long.
