Bulldog Coloring Pages

With a wrinkly forehead, droopy cheeks and a stubborn little underbite, a Bulldog is one of the easiest breeds to spot. They look grumpy, but most are big softies who'd rather snore on the sofa than do just about anything else.

About the Bulldog

Bulldogs come from England, where their tough look made them a national symbol. People still talk about "British bulldog spirit" when someone refuses to give up. They've been school mascots for a long time too. Handsome Dan, a Bulldog at Yale University in 1889, is often called the first college mascot in America.

Don't expect a Bulldog to go for a swim, though. Their heavy chest and short legs make floating hard work, and that pushed-in nose means plenty of snoring at night!

Bulldogs come in white, fawn (a soft tan), red and brindle, which is a stripy mix of brown and black. Many have big white patches too. Try a light tan base and add darker shading inside the wrinkles and under the cheeks so the folds really show. A pink tongue and a black nose finish the face.
