Welcome to our All Saints Day and Christian Saints and Heroes coloring pages section!
All of the people in this section, like St. George, St. Patrick, and St. David, are known as saints. Catholics honor saints with special prayers and feast days and while most Protestants and secular people don’t pray to saints, they often still admire them as brave, kind, and faithful people.
November 1st is All Saints Day and on this day we celebrate their stories and lessons, showing how they acted courageously and helped others. The celebration is part of a three-day period called Allhallowtide, which begins with Halloween (All Hallows' Eve) on October 31st and is followed by All Souls' Day on November 2nd.
St. Andrew - Patron Saint of Scotland
St. Andrew was one of Jesus’ twelve apostles and the brother of St. Peter. He is the patron saint of Scotland, and his special day, St. Andrew’s Day on November 30th, is Scotland’s national holiday. People celebrate with traditional food, music, dancing, and the flying of the blue-and-white Scottish flag, which shows the cross of St. Andrew. It’s a day to honor Scotland’s history and culture.
St. David - Patron Saint of Wales
St. David was a kind and wise leader in Wales who helped people live good lives. Some stories about him are historical, and others have grown into legends over time. St. David’s Day, celebrated on March 1st, honors his life and teachings, and people wear daffodils or leeks to remember him.
St. Francis of Assisi - Patron Saint of Animals and Italy
St. Francis of Assisi was a gentle and kind man from Italy who loved nature and all living creatures. He taught people to care for animals and the environment and showed that living simply and peacefully is a way to serve God.
St. Francis of Assisi is known for his special relationship with animals, acting as their patron saint and performing various miracles and interactions with them, such as making peace with a wolf, preaching to birds, and freeing a rabbit from a trap.
His feast day is October 4, and people often celebrate by blessing animals and thinking about the beauty of nature.
St. George - Patron Saint of England
St. George was a courageous knight who stood up for what was right. The most famous story about him tells of how he bravely fought a dragon to protect people. This story is a mix of history and legend, showing courage and bravery in a way kids can enjoy. St. George’s Day is celebrated on April 23rd, and his red cross is the symbol of England.
St. James (Santiago) - Patron Saint of Spain
Spain’s patron saint is Saint James the Greater, also known as Santiago in Spanish.
He was one of Jesus’ twelve apostles and, according to tradition, preached in Spain after Jesus’ resurrection. His remains are believed to rest in Santiago de Compostela, a famous pilgrimage site in northwestern Spain. Every year, thousands of people walk the Camino de Santiago (the Way of St. James) to honor him. His feast day is July 25th, which is celebrated across Spain with festivals, music, and fireworks.
St. Joan of Arc - Patron Saint of France
Saint Joan of Arc was a brave young girl who lived in France over 600 years ago. She believed she had a special mission to help her country and led soldiers into battle during the Hundred Years’ War. Even though she was very young, she showed amazing courage, faith, and determination.
Joan of Arc’s story is a mix of real history and legendary tales about her bravery and leadership. She is celebrated on May 30 as a hero who followed her beliefs and inspired people with her courage.

St. John - The Beloved Disciple
Most of the apostles are considered saints, but St. Peter and St. John are the most commonly celebrated.
St. John is known as “the beloved disciple,” he is remembered for his writings (Gospel, letters, Revelation) and is celebrated on December 27.
St. Joseph - Patron Saint of Workers and Families
St. Joseph was the husband of Mary and the earthly father of Jesus. He was a humble carpenter who cared for his family with love, patience, and faith.
St. Joseph is honored as the patron saint of fathers, families, and workers, showing that quiet strength and kindness are just as important as great deeds.
His feast day is March 19th, celebrated in many countries with prayers, family gatherings, and special meals.
St. Lorenzo Ruiz - Patron Saint of the Philippines
St. Lorenzo Ruiz was the first Filipino saint. Born in Manila in the 1600s, he showed great courage and faith when he refused to give up his beliefs, even in the face of death.
He is honored as the patron saint of the Philippines and is remembered for his bravery and devotion.
His feast day is September 28th.

St. Mary - Mother of Jesus
St. Mary, also called the Virgin Mary, is the mother of Jesus and one of the most loved figures in Christianity. She is known for her faith, kindness, and willingness to follow God’s plan. Mary is especially honored as the patron saint of mothers, families, and children.
People around the world celebrate her through prayers, songs, and special feast days, such as the Feast of the Immaculate Conception on December 8th and the Assumption of Mary on August 15th.
St. Nicholas - Patron Saint of Children
St. Nicholas lived a long time ago in what is now Turkey. He was known for being kind and generous, especially to children and families in need. Many of the stories about him inspired the tradition of Santa Claus, and he loved helping people in secret so they would feel joy and surprise.
St. Nicholas’ feast day is celebrated on December 6, reminding us to be generous and caring to others.
St. Patrick - Patron Saint of Ireland
St. Patrick is famous for bringing Christianity to Ireland. Legend says he used a shamrock to explain the idea of the Trinity... Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. His story mixes real history with legend, making it fun and inspiring for kids. St. Patrick’s Day, celebrated on March 17th, is full of green, parades, and stories about Ireland’s history.

St. Peter - Leader of the Early Church
St. Peter the apostle was one of Jesus’ closest followers and is often called the first leader of the Christian Church. He helped spread Jesus’ teachings and guided the early Christian community. St. Peter is remembered for his faith, courage, and dedication, even when things were difficult.
St. Peter’s feast day is on June 29. People in many Christian traditions, including Catholic, Orthodox, and Anglican churches, remember him on this day. It’s a special time to celebrate his faith, courage, and the important role he played in the early Church.
St. Valentine - Patron Saint of Love
St. Valentine was a priest who lived long ago and is remembered for showing love and care to others. He helped people celebrate friendship and affection, even during difficult times, and encouraged kindness and caring in everyday life.
St. Valentine’s feast day is February 14, a day when people celebrate love, friendship, and thoughtfulness toward others.
